Saints and Sinners The Vikings |
Within this region of Ancient Times, we turn our heads towards the Vikings -- travelers, it is said. While many were content to merchant, and to farmstead, the Nordic peoples we refer to as the Vikings became known for raids upon the Celtic world (in addition to other parts of Europe). There are areas of Scotland today, which owe more ethnically to the Viking settlers than to the people they intermarried with, or displaced. This region boasts an active Viking group wherein one is welcome to learn more about these roaming northern European peoples.
