This group is devoted to the dynasties that witnessed the eruption of the pyramids. Because each dynasty is unique in sufficient ways, we have devoted a thread for each dynasty. There are many questions about the age of the pyramids, and questions concerning the reasons Imhotep chose to stack layers on his king’s mastaba and create the Step Pyramid? How and why did the Egyptians build such titanic pyramids then change their technique of burying their dead? Questions like these are asked herein, and together we try to find the answers.
