Code of Conduct and Site Disclaimer
While you are participating or using Ancient Times, you may not:
Post or transmit any fraudulent, threatening, abusive, libelous, defamatory, illegal,
obscene or otherwise objectionable, or personally harmful information of any kind.
Post materials in violation of copyright without permission, and be willing to remove any such
items brought to your attention without argument.
The promotion of illegal activities will not be tolerated.
Flaming will not be tolerated. Flaming is any type of post worded so as to provoke heated
response from individuals. The Administrators are the final arbitrators on defining grey areas
of flames. Posts that promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality,
disability, sexual orientation or age; or that promote violence will be considered flames.
Spamming the boards is also unacceptable.
Members will not engage in activities that might be construed as invasion of the privacy of other members.
Revealing personal information without consent is covered by this.
We at Ancient Sites reserve the right to remove offending posts and members with or without notice as an individual situation
warrants. Explanations will be given to those who need to know, based on situations. We are
not obligated to monitor the site, nor, since removal of posts is a manual process, can we
guarantee that offensive posts will be removed immediately.
As we are a private, free, and gain no profit from this website, we have no obligation to continue the memberships of
disruptive members should we find that such individuals interfere with the enjoyment and
education others seek at this site. Hence, we reserve the right to ban members for
disruptive or illegal activity without notice, and to remove such posts as deemed necessary. If we decide that
an applicant to Ancient Times is not in the best interest of the community, we reserve the right to deny him or her
entry.
There is no guarantee that this, or any, site, can continue in perpetuity. If we should close,
we would attempt to provide as much advance notice as humanly possible -- keeping in mind that such notice
might not be possible.
We will not be held responsible for technical errors or any loss of data or graphics that can occur on the
Net.
Ancient Times is independent of all other sites. Your personal information and e-mail addresses will never be
sold or provided to other sites or mailers.
